Head of Community & Marketing
About US
Dan Launchpad is a non-profit, venture enhancement program, 100% crafted to fit the specific needs of aspiring early-stage founders. From beta product stage, we help founders develop their business, validate markets, and build a solid foundation.
In less than 3 years, we worked (and are working) with 20+ startups, including a high success rate of funded alumni, and currently manage a community of ~100 founders and professional mentors.
Dan Launchpad Startup Program is located at Tel Aviv University, and serves the overall university community (from students to alumni of all years).
Job Overview
We’re looking for a proactive, community-led operator who can be the connective tissue between startups, mentors, partners, and our internal team. You’ll blend community, marketing, and partnerships so every touchpoint with Dan Launchpad feels high-value and human.
Core Responsibilities
Internal vs. External Activities
-
Internal:
You are the first touchpoint with Dan Launchpad - acting as the funnel for founders, mentors, and ecosystem partners coming to us (applications, referrals, ambassadors, organic interest). Keep the bar high; keep the experience warm. -
External:
You carry the flag - Attend meetups, host founder chats, post the cool stuff, and spread the name across the ecosystem to keep the pipeline organic and diverse - always at Dan Launchpad’s quality bar.
1. Marketing & Brand
-
Be a visible brand ambassador online and on the ground.
-
Own program marketing and communications:
-
Create & manage social media and events calendar
-
Own marketing channels: newsletter, social media channels (mainly LinkedIn), emails.
-
-
Collaborate with freelancers
-
Promotional products and branded collateral - Scout and negotiate with vendors.
-
Work with designers/photographers/catering when relevant to keep quality high and on-brand.
-
2. Events & Ecosystem Relations
-
Be the bridge between DL and the broader ecosystem (founders, mentors, partners, angels, accelerators, etc.).
-
Represent DL at events; bring back relationships and opportunities.
-
Co-plan and execute events (according to the events and content calendar) - from intimate founder roundtables to larger, open-to-public community meetups, including co-lead concept, agendas, speaker coordination, partner alignment, and logistics.
-
Keep our core program activities humming: founder roundtables, public startup fairs, international ambassador touchpoints.
3. Venture Pipeline & Founder Support
-
Manage the startup pipeline end-to-end until acceptance: comms, screening logistics, and a clean handoff into the program.
-
Connect founders with the right first resources (interns, mentors for intro chats, tools, templates).
-
Translate founder needs into quick wins (intros, jobs posts, content tweaks) and track follow-ups.
4. Internship Program
-
Run the internship program for DL and portfolio ventures: partner outreach, candidate processing, introductions and placements.
-
Coordinate with university contacts for recruiting and performance tracking.
-
Oversee DL & portfolio ventures’ interns across marketing, ops, and events.
-
Own the digital dashboard, control over the activities.
